Today for Makerspace I worked on drawing animated characters, I love Disney so I decided to draw Mickey, Goofy, and Donald. Drawing these characters were really fun but I actually encountered a few problems, when drawing Mickey I had a really hard time trying to find the correct size and placement on the eyes I had to erase them several times because they didn't look right. When drawing Goofy his head was a real challenge for me because it was really weird shape, and I will admit he ended up looking a little creepy but the head I think was just so misshapen that it was really difficult to get the shape right. Donald I didn't have much problems with at all the shape of his head was somewhat round and the placement of his eyes were really easy to find. Overall, I think this week I am going to just continue to practice and practice cartoon/animated characters so I can get all those complicated shapes down, but now that I've covered pretty much everything here is the final product!:

Sorry forgot to mention I made Mickey Valentine's Day themed that was actually pretty easy to do I just started with a circle and drew hearts in them and than erased the circles.

Materials:

Blank Paper

Standard Paper

Plan for Future Drawings

For future drawings I really plan to focus on creating better shadows, it was a little difficult when I didn't have any charcoal pencils...
