Hi everyone welcome back to my Makerspace Blog, today I started my very first dog portrait! I just would like to say that I am really proud of it and I defiantly think it is my best drawing yet. So did I have any problems? For the most part this drawing was pretty easy, although it could be a bit more detailed I did also have problems with the eyes for some reason I could not get them right so I left them blank. Lastly, I did accidentally mess up the nose I wanted it to be black so I used a Sharpie but it was a bad idea and the drawing looked really flat (in the future I will not use Sharpie's) and not realistic at all, overall, it turned out great and I can't wait to do more animal portraits. Here is my drawing:

Materials:

Mechanical Pencil

Tissue (for blending/shadows)

Sharpie (big and utter mistake)

Thank you so much for reading today's blog and make sure to stay tuned for tomorrow's blog.

Plan for Future Drawings

For future drawings I really plan to focus on creating better shadows, it was a little difficult when I didn't have any charcoal pencils...
